The shade was crafted as a part of what he calls Amal’s “Portofino glam” look, created to stun on the purple carpet on the Venice premiere of George Clooney’s newest film, Jay Kelly. The pecan pie shade was chosen to enrich her pink-cheeked look.

“I wished to maintain Amal’s make-up contemporary with a touch of pink and shimmer,” says Giannetos. To replicate that shimmer in her hair, he used L’Oréal Paris Elvive Glycolic Gloss Excessive Shine Go away-In Serum ($8) to create a shiny end.
